About Me

I currently serve as a junior high principal in south central Missouri. Previous administrative experience includes positions as a PreK-8 superintendent and a K-5 principal. My education experience includes teaching language arts, math, social studies, and  business technology across grades 5-12. 

The title of this blog, Thoughts from the Car, originated after I found myself doing a great deal of reflecting in the car during commutes to and from school. Thoughts from the Car was first a semi-regular section of a weekly staff newsletter. Eventually, I became courageous (or crazy) enough to publish my thoughts as a blog. 

My wife, Julie, is a middle school counselor. We have three beautiful daughters and love our quiet life in the country.
